Next Era is a statewide youth movement to promote healthier, tobacco-free and nicotine-free lifestyles.
Since 2017, Next Era youth advocates have worked across Louisiana as agents of change create to promote healthier futures for their communities.
Schools and organizations throughout the state host Next Era members. These members are trained on state and local policy campaigns, public speaking, community organzing, and more. After the training, Next Era members work to plan and lead their own campaign projects and events.
In addition, groups, clubs, and organizations participating in the Next Era program receive financial support.
Next Era covers all costs associated with the Next Era training, events, and projects. Next Era partner recipients are NOT expected to utilize any portion of their award towards any Next Era program efforts.
When you become a Next Era Youth Advocate, you will work on campaign activities throughout the year and make changes that last a lifetime.
Young people interested in becoming a part of Next Era should reach out to an adult leader of school club or other youth organization to complete the application process.Have a question?

Next Era offers presentations and educational community opportunities. Next Era Youth Advocates and our Youth Program Manager are available for speaking engagements throughout Louisiana. We also collect support cards and supporter information for our healthy community initiatives.
